Behind the Keyboard

I went to college at the University of Wisconsin – Madison (Go Badgers!). I loved Madison. Loved the Isthmus, Bascom Hill, Lake Shore Path, the Rathskeller, the Terrace, State Street. It’s all very near and dear.

Yes, I realize this is supposed to be about Chicago. I’m getting there, promise.

Anyway, I still love Madison. And I get very excited when I watch movies or read books based in places familiar to me. Unless they get it wrong. (Looking at you, The Prince and Me. That was NOT the Rathskeller.) So, I try very hard not to get it wrong.

Eventually, I landed in Chicago and fell in love with this city as well. The VANISHED TATTOO Series is based in Chicago, and I do my best to make the city and setting its own ‘side character’ in the stories. Sprinkling in some of my favorite places and describing the best of the city I love.
